"The way management treats associates is exactly how the associates will treat the customers." - Sam Walton It was not easy traveling down to Northwest Arkansas exactly one month after my son was born, but it was Sam’s quote in the back of my mind that led me to these two fine days on the grounds here at the Washington County Fairgrounds. The excitement, energy, and passion from associates all over the PLANET at the Walmart Associates Expo was truly inspiring. I was beyond excited to introduce them to our Harken Sweets, and I will never forget some of their honest-to-goodness reactions. I’ve been smiling from ear to ear every since. Speaking with so many associates about our better-for-you candy bars and what about them resonates with THEM put it all in perspective. It’s been an honor to learn from each and every associate about how our product can best fit their needs … from stockists and team leads, to transportation team members and warehouse workers, retail sales associates, Walmart Connect team members, the Walmart Global Tech India, WalmartWorld and every single person on #teamwalmart… thank you for the warm welcome. This week reinforces how proud we at Harken Sweets are to be a supplier to Walmart, working hand in hand with Callie Dunnaway, Melanie Bort, Will Tommey, and the entire Front End team. Heartfelt thank you to Jenny Schossow for your tremendous role in shepherding our launch. To Kinneberg Management Group - thank you for making this corner of Northwest Arkansas feel like a home away from home for this first week away from my first-born.
