Conversion is tough! Let’s agree that a solid product is crucial for any business with long-term goals, but it doesn’t stop there. Many companies seem to disproportionally focus on improving their product in efforts to increase revenue, and in my own experience I have witnessed a lot of people with a mindset of «just make it functional» when it comes to payment pages, unintentionally closing the door to a lot of potential revenue. There’s a quote I’ll never forget, which Martin Kværnstuen told me back in 2019, and I believe it ties in very nicely here: «You can’t beat people clicking on the internet» We were discussing a variety of actions to increase revenue and conversion, and implementing even small changes to the payment process is one of the efforts that had an immediate and valuable result. Little wins. Big wins. The milestones come thick and fast in a new job. Sometimes it can be helpful to pause and take stock of how far you've come. After all, you're bound to stop noticing quite so much once things become more familiar. I had that experience last week. My first trip to the SteriPack Group site in beautiful Wrocław, Poland. The amount of new information coming my way at times felt off the scale. But my insight and understanding has taken a huge leap forward too. Little win: Sorrell Walsh and me learning the correct way to wear a hair net! (Honestly, not as straightforward as you might think!)
