Praktikant @VINCI Energies Academy in Germany, Austria, Switzerland | MBA Candidate | Personalentwicklung/ Personnel Development
I am happy to share that I will be working at VINCI Energies Academy as an intern starting in May! I am deeply grateful to Ms. Birgit Postler for her decision to offer me this opportunity. This journey wouldn't have been possible without the support and guidance of so many people. I would like to thank all of them. I would further like to extend a special thank you to Christina Haury and Prof. Dr. Julia Roederer, whose introductions, advice, and encouragement have been invaluable.
I analyse there are three factors mainly. -No experience in HR In Germany, career paths are often linear. I studied law and worked as a B2B salesperson in Japan, and I am pursuing my MBA program now in Germany, which doesn’t align with my desired job field, HR. -Voluntary internship My internship is not mandatory. Many companies seek students with mandatory internships. However, not many companies accept voluntary internship students, which is also understandable. -Lack of German language skills Although my German level is between B1 and B2 (can have everyday conversations), it doesn’t usually meet the required language level in the field of HR, particularly in personnel development. Ultimately, Christina introduced me to VINCI Energies Academy, which was significantly helpful. Apart from everyone’s help as well, I have been focusing on; 1) Studying German (I really thank my German teacher) 2) To keep on improving my CV, cover letter and interview skills 3) To make it public that I have been looking for an internship or similar 4) Never give up I believe my preparation above and my passion enabled me to take advantage of the chance. However, I wouldn’t have made it without everyone's voluntary support. I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. I am also thankful to all the companies that considered me for the internship, working student position or thesis collaboration. I will do my best during the internship to further my career in HR. Thank you all. Ryosuke Tamai To view or add a comment, sign in

Are you about to graduate and get your 485visa without having done an internship? Graduates are expected to have experience, so what should you do? That depends on… - Your profession & industry - What else you did during your studies - Whether you have overseas experience - Whether you can demonstrate by example how you have applied your skills and knowledge - Your strengths & weaknesses Simply having a degree is not enough to secure work in your field – employers need to see what you have done; not what you were given. The point is, you can waste a lot of time trying to work out what you should do to improve your employability and specific situation – no two graduates are the same, so generic advice is of limited value. Seeking guidance and support could save you months and money. #OBPAustralia #485visa #GraduateJobs

Founder @ The Immigration Consultants | Study abroad consultant | Portuguese Passport Expert | Helped100+ students fulfill their dreams of studying abroad
I just returned from my trip to Manali. It was a 2-week trip and much needed. That’s when I realized how important breaks are. But your visa officer might need some convincing. Having a long career break can be a cause of concern for your study abroad application. Hence addressing it the correct way is essential. This is how you can do it: 📌Upskilling: Showing proof of upskilling yourself or investing in relevant courses can help you address huge career gaps. 📌Work experiences: If during this time, you’ve worked at an organization, then you can relate this to your career gap. Tell them how it has helped you and what expertise you’ve gained. 📌Internships: Internships are a great way to justify career gaps. Specify the role you played in the organization and what value you gained from it. Remember that your SOP should be truthful. Hence address long career gaps if any. Pro tip: If it’s a short gap of months or a year, you can also justify the preparation for our study abroad application as a reason. 🎯If you want to travel/study abroad and need guidance, book a FREE 1:1 consultation call now!
