I wanted to take a moment to give a shout out to one of our brokers, Patrick Bonk. One of the questions I get asked most often by business owners is what kind of coverage we offer for commercial insurance. The key to that answer comes from having Patrick who is experienced both as an underwriter and a commercial broker, providing him with a broad understanding of the level and types of risk that insurers consider when assessing an application. Three important factors when thinking about commercial insurance include: 1) Determination and Acceptance of Risk 2) Liability Factors 3) The Broker’s Role In the next few weeks, I’ll be posting more detail on these areas, so you can learn from Patrick’s insights, just like I did.

Property insurance renewals were once an annual formality, often consisting of a brief conversation, a review of a property listing and a moderate 2-4% increase in valuation to account for inflation. With these valuations and renewals becoming increasingly consequential today, Withum's Brian Johnston and Lena G. Combs, CPA, CGMA explain why a property insurance appraisal performed by an experienced, independent third party can be key in this preparation: https://ow.ly/EQQ350Q1Bkj
