Last Thursday we got to wrap up our series of Group Mentoring events in 2023 for Women in Banking and Finance - UK with a session for our Early Careers community.
We got to discuss many topics that were front of mind for our participants - ranging from managing imposter syndrome, how do we build our own networks, how do we make most of the graduate programmes, how do we manage our career progression, how do we navigate from one specialism to another, and that question… what is my 5 year plan? (Or how do we have a 5 year plan when the world is constantly changing, and even… do we need a 5 year plan?) 🤔
We had so many themes (& people) that we had to break into 3 different groups. Thank you to Urszula Wysocka, PhD MBA, Kris Lynch, Alison Cannon for the discussions!
Thank you to HSBC for hosting us, and Mira Ratyal for organising the event!
Thank you to Mira, Chloe Hickey-Jones, Poppy Small FIA & Lucy Ellis-Keeler for working with me to make this session a reality! (& bringing the Future Leaders network)
Thank you also to Ras Gohil who helped to prep for this session.
& a final thank you to Carolina Ottochian, the person who inspired this event in the beginning!
If you would like to join our exciting mentoring community- please do! You can find out more https://lnkd.in/eVF-ZvyZ

We’re pleased to share that we hosted our very first Early Careers Group mentoring session at HSBC, which was a collaboration between WIBF's Future Leaders Network and the Mentoring Community.
We were so thrilled that so many our members leant in to share their thoughts and experiences around career development and building self confidence and advocacy. Our mentees were guided brilliantly by Gwen Faure, Urszula Wysocka, PhD MBA and Kris Lynch.
Thanks again to the Balance UK team at HSBC for helping us bring this great session to life, including Sabine Fichaux and Sami Siddik.
