A recent study by McKinsey found that the average life-span of companies listed in Standard & Poor's 500 was 61 years in 1958. Today, it is less than 18 years, with nearly 50% failing in the first 5 years…jumping to 80% before year 20. Today Property Masters Inc celebrated our 20th year in business (6/14/2004) with a little party @ our HQ!!! 🥳 The rest of the team was there in spirit! There have been many highs and lows, but over the years we have learned how to turn our disappointments into opportunities to improve, and those improvements into wins for our trusted partners & clients. With each year we’ve gotten stronger, smarter, and more determined to surpass the higher goals we set for ourselves. It hasn’t ever been easy, but nothing worth having ever is. 😉 I’m so proud of my amazing team of colleagues and what we’ve built together. Whether you’re at year 1 or been along on the ride for all 20, this celebration belongs to you! To our amazing clients & trusted partners and vendors…THANK YOU doesn’t seem like enough!! We owe this all to you & couldn’t have gotten this far without your support! Happy Valentines Day to those that celebrate and/or recognize valentines day. My wife and I went for dinner last night and thinking about the Holiday it reminds me that as a consumer our expectations are high when it comes to the experience we expect. But how often do we think about the enviorement they are in to deliver to our expectations. Last night we were out and the atmosphere, location was amazing. Nice outdoor resturant just off the pier close to the water where you can see the boats passing into and out of the Panama canal. However the service was not great during the night my wife talked to the server to find out they were supposed to be closed yesterday (Carnivals in Panama) but the owners decided that morning to open, so they were less then half staff across the board and being a popular place they were slammed with customers. When we left, I had to acknowledge that sometimes poor service is not because the person we interact with, it is the support system behind the scenes we do not see that do not enable them to deliver that experience. So as many of us head out tonight or through the week lets all keep in mind that we have a right to expect great service, but lets also remember many times when our expectation is not meet, it is not always the person we see or talk to most that caused it. #customerexperience #customerservice #resturant #serviceindustry #expectations #expectationmanagement #valentinesday

Today was my 4 Year anniversary at Melvin Brewing. In came and went with no fanfare. If you would have said that to the guy in the picture below on his first day at Melvin in 2019 he would not have believed you. Its not that 4 years is some big accomplishment but at Melvin it use to signify when you got your coveted Boom Case. Also the last 4 years should have counted for 10 or 15 if I am honest. I was hired a few months before covid changed the world. The last 4 years have been the most challenging in my 24 years in the beer business. fact of the matter a boom case wont bring back the crew we had in 2019 or the family members I lost in the last 4 years. A boom case would not make me appreciate more the friend's I have made here or the ones I have had for 20+ years in the beer industry. A boom case would not make the experience I gained in Key Accounts management better. A boom case would not make the distributors I have had the pleasure of working with the last 4 years across the country more of a pleasure. A boom case would not make my family miss me any less for all the time I have spent away from them the last 4 years. Sometimes you learn more in 4 years than you ever thought you could about pain and disappointment at work and in life. Sometimes 4 years can make you understand what you want most is to win with your teammates despite all odds and have all of your efforts recognized in some sort of meaningful way, more than a boom case.

𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗰𝗮-𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘂𝘀? That’s a common myth that many people believe. But the truth is, Coca-Cola had a huge influence on how we see him today. Before 1931, Santa Claus looked different in different cultures. He could be skinny, short, or even scary. But then, Coca-Cola hired Haddon Sundblom to draw Santa for their ads. He based his Santa on a poem by Clement Clark Moore called "Twas the Night Before Christmas." His Santa was warm, happy, and human-like, with rosy cheeks, a white beard, and a big smile. Coca-Cola has used this Santa ever since and made him popular in cards, books, movies, and TV shows. They also added other characters like Sprite Boy, an elf who worked with Santa. So, next time you see Santa in his red-and-white suit, remember that he is partly a product of Coca-Cola’s clever marketing. 😉 But also remember that he has a rich and diverse history that goes beyond one brand.
