Argyle’s work in revolutionizing the architecture, engineering, and construction industry with their AR-based BIM app has already made builds significantly more efficient by reducing one of the construction industry’s biggest challenges: rework. Thanks to Argyle CEO Maret Thatcher and Miller Electric Company VDC/BIM Coordinator Michael Wickersham for your participation in showcasing the value AR is bringing to industries and professionals.

What if you could walk through your design drawings before constructing a building? By combining the digital and physical world, augmented reality is helping designers and engineers work faster and better in #TheHumanComponent 🕶️
Finally starting to get it, so many useful applications of this technology outside of the productivity and entertainment nonsense everyone is pushing. Bravo #magicleap and #argyle 👏

In the 'AEC Tech Review' video series, we have examined new AEC startup apps in the market today. Our goal is to provide our followers with insights into how these new platforms intend to reshape our industry.
One such platform is Autodesk Forma (formerly known as Spacemaker AI), a cloud-based tool designed for architects, urban designers, and real estate developers. This platform empowers users to quickly generate design alternatives while considering environmental criteria. By incorporating environmental analyses, the platform aims to unlock the full potential of a site.

In the video, we generated building layouts for the chosen site. Initially, we defined the site's parameters, including buildable area, height limits, and contextual information. Subsequently, in the first part, we sketched various building layout proposals using manual editing tools. We then explored existing structures using auto grid systems. Once the proposals were ready, we employed a generative height study to optimize building heights based on the desired quality.
Moving on to the second part, we conducted a generative site study. During this phase, Spacemaker generated diverse proposals based on selected layout schemas, unit mix preferences, height limits, and more. To aid in selection among multiple proposals, we utilized building ratio filters. We proceeded to assess and choose unit layouts from the suggested layout section.
Finally, we delved into environmental analyses encompassing outdoor spaces, sunlight exposure, daylight availability, noise levels, views, and wind considerations. Any necessary adjustments to the buildings were made based on these analyses.
We eagerly anticipate your thoughts and comments on this application. Please don't hesitate to share your feedback in the comments section!

Hello! I just posted this article about rendering as a prototyping tool in the spatial design process. After my studies in Interaction Design, I became curious about how to improve the prototyping and iteration processes in architecture and interior design projects, aiming to create an agile workflow.
In a world where going digital is key, step away from old habits and embrace innovation in construction📲. Our digital sketching solutions pave the way for a new era, challenging the status quo and breaking traditional barriers.

3 reasons you should try 3D tech in your real estate business:
1. To create realistic models of your real estate projects before they're built.
This helps you visualize and make informed decisions about design and layout.
2. To design and build faster and cheaper by catching problems early on, saving you time and money.
3. To set your real estate business apart from the competition.
It impresses clients, investors, and stakeholders with cutting-edge visualization tools and demonstrates your commitment to innovation and excellence.
