🌟 March is Autoimmune Awareness Month, a time to shed light on the millions of individuals around the world who are living with autoimmune diseases. 🌟  In support of those struggling with autoimmune diseases, ViuHealth has partnered with Lupus in Color, a patient advocacy group dedicated to providing resources and support to those living with Lupus. As part of their efforts during Autoimmune Awareness Month, Lupus in Color has released their Butterflies of Hope Magazine, featuring stories of individuals battling Lupus and highlighting the importance of awareness and support. In a recent interview within the magazine, ViuHealth 's COO, Melanie Igwe, discussed the company's mission to provide innovative and accessible healthcare solutions for individuals with autoimmune diseases. ViuHealth is committed to improving the quality of life for those living with autoimmune conditions by offering personalized care and resources to help manage their symptoms and improve their overall well-being. Through our partnership with Lupus in Color, ViuHealth is able to support individuals who are fighting their own battles with Lupus. By sharing their stories and experiences, these individuals are able to inspire others and raise awareness about the challenges of living with an autoimmune disease. 🤝🏻 In 2020, CSHP received funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for the Preventing Adverse Childhood Experiences: Data to Action (PACE-D2A) work to build data collection capacity, support implementation of ACE prevention strategies, and conduct data-to-action activities. As the grant cycle ends, we're proud to showcase our outcomes and impact. --- Our efforts in recent years have included promoting social norms aimed at preventing violence and adversity. We have organized public education campaigns to raise community awareness about ACEs and ways to avoid them. The Childhood is Sacred campaign emphasizes the importance of making connections to heal, grow and build resilience. Spending time in nature and, especially for Native American children, learning about and participating in cultural practices and activities are protective, resilience-building factors. This campaign aims to build resilience in youth through increased awareness and education about the importance of healthy social connections, cultural connections, and connections to nature. While this training can benefit everyone, if you really want to place yourself in the role of suicide preventionist in healthcare, this is it. The reality of healthcare is that it's complex. We don't know who patients will finally feel safe opening up to about struggles they had all their life. And while that can be a psychologist, it might be an LPN or RN or ARPN or the various other folks we see through a healthcare journey. This kind of training is basically the CPR of mental health. It's life saving. And even if you don't necessarily end up using it directly, there are so many indirect ways it can get you to consider patient interaction.
