For many families, a diaper is not just a diaper. It's a crucial necessity that can determine whether a child can attend early childhood programs or not. Unfortunately, diaper insecurity is a harsh reality for far too many caregivers in our state. Listen to Brightpoint’s Policy Manager, Eric Mayo, talk about diaper need and policy solutions that will help families throughout Illinois. Read more about Diaper Insecurity here, https://lnkd.in/gzi-f5Hv. For $10 a month, you will support our efforts to eliminate diaper insecurity for Illinois infants and young children! Together, we can make a lasting impact and ensure that no child in Illinois suffers from diaper insecurity. Donate using this link: https://lnkd.in/g-9pp4Bh. #Brightpoint #EndDiaperInsecurity #ChildWellbeing #LegislativeAction

When you give to Effect Hope, where does your money go? Here are just a few of the practical ways your donation can be used to transform the lives of people affected by NTDs: 📚 Teaching students and community members about NTDs so they can recognize symptoms and get help more quickly. 🤝 Creating peer support groups to improve mental wellbeing for those struggling with NTDs. 📊 Funding research to continue to improve NTD treatment and interventions. 🔍 Screening for NTDs in remote areas so no one is overlooked. 💵 Investing in the small businesses of people impacted by NTDs to help them regain an income after their illness. 🩹 Providing important medical supplies such as gauze and bandages to prevent infection. Your generosity brings tangible change to individuals, families, and communities through these important projects. See real impact numbers and donate to keep this essential work going at www.theimpactofhope.ca 📸 Tom Bradley Photography #EffectHope #ImpactReport2023 #DonateWithImpact #DonateForRealChange #NTDTransformation

FAN is very excited to announce that today we are participating in GiveOUT Day 2023! We are fundraising to provide important neuropsychological assessments for LGBTIQ+ young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. A link to our GiveOUT Day page can be found here: https://lnkd.in/gERiHiwc By providing access to neuropsychological assessment to LGBTIQ+ young people, FAN aims to facilitate young people in exploring and understanding their own brain function and how this impacts their day-to-day life. Neuropsychological assessment can be an important step in the identification or diagnosis of complex mental health conditions or neurodiversity and/or disability; and is often pivotal in ensuring young people are able to access appropriate support (such as NDIS support and funding, medication, and ongoing therapeutic and social intervention and support). LGBTIQ+ young people experiencing homelessness are already facing significant barriers and challenges in accessing appropriate intervention and support; and this is exacerbated for young people living with an undiagnosed disability or complex mental health condition. Assessment is the first step in ensuring that the needs of LGBTIQ+ young people are being addressed and met appropriately. Donations are open now! Please consider donating to FAN this GiveOUT day, and help us reach our fundraising goal of $5000

1 in 2 U.S. families cannot afford enough diapers, and the problem continues to grow. This diaper need not only affects the babies, who are more likely to face health issues, but also puts stress on the entire family. When a parent spends extra time taking their child to the hospital or loses child care because of a lack of diapers, it makes getting ahead that much more difficult. Babies of Homelessness has tackled diaper need head-on, and we’ve accomplished a lot of great things, including distributing more than 1.5 million total diapers and delivering hope to thousands of families in Western Washington. But like any nonprofit, funding is key to accomplishing our mission, and with our services more vital to the community than ever before, each donation makes a huge impact. One way you can help us deliver hope for the holidays is by spreading the word about our year-end fundraising efforts. Use this image to tell your friends and family why supporting Babies of Homelessness is important to you, and let them know how they can help a family experiencing homelessness by making a donation at https://lnkd.in/g-cc7WjA.

Did you know that... Based on U.S. data (data for Canada is not yet available): Sudden Unexplained Death (SUDC) accounts for 10% of unexplained deaths in children under the age of 4, making SUDC the 5th-leading category of death among 1 to 4 year olds, leaving behind a community of broken hearts. The SUDC Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness, funding research, and providing support to those affected by SUDC. The Foundation offers all trauma-informed services at no cost to the communities it serves. Your donation can be a beacon of hope in their efforts to understand and prevent SUDC and a lifeline to those affected by SUDC. Visit www.sudc.org to learn more and contribute today at: https://sudc.org/donate/. Please 'Like' & 'Share' to help #ShineALightOnSUDC during #MarchIsSUDCAwarenessMonth. Together, we can make a difference in #ChildHealth and support families in need.

Be Finally Free is actively combating the homeless epidemic in Kern County through education. Our guiding principle is encapsulated in a simple question: "How can you do something different if you don't know anything different?" This question underscores our mission to instill a new mindset in individuals. Our programs are dedicated to teaching alternative ways to respond, think, and navigate life's challenges beyond familiar patterns. By educating the homeless community, we are making a tangible impact on our local society. However, we cannot achieve this without support from individuals like you.
