The solution CO2 capture, better foods, and a broadly better environment on our planet - is also the solution to higher and sustainable crop production as well. It's counter to everything I learned growing up in farm country Mchenry County, IL - but it's an absolutely truth.
Shortcuts to higher productions the big ag companies sell only brought short term gains and then a cycle of ever higher input dependency and reduction in yield stability... because it damaged the land we depend on for our sustenance.
The good news is that God's given technology is incredibly resilient and can turn around land incredibly fast when you treat the land as the living resource it is. This is not an act of faith, but science driven and amazing how fast even some of the most damaged farmlands can be turned around when you actually stop using the chemicals that are harmful to us and the soil as well, stop tilling, and grow the way nature intends.
The ultimate win win win where output increases and real costs substantially decrease + the risks, dangers of the chemical exposures for farmers and consumers eliminated too. And all the while capturing/sequestering carbon and substantially reducing the use of both chemicals and diesel fuel for additional reductions to the carbon footprint.
Saving the soil. Saving the farmer. Ensuring food for generations to come and a better world for everyone = Kiss the Ground
🌾After generations and generations of conventional farming practices, TJ Schiff’s soil has been impacted negatively.
🎥 Learn why TJ Schiff stepped away from the “quantity over quality” practices of traditional farming to start a journey towards regenerative in our latest mini-documentary in our Stories of Regeneration series, available at the link below.
