THUMB RULE
· PISTON TECHNOLOGY COMPRESSOR : The Ratio is 3.5 : 1 (CFM/HP).
· SCREW TECHNOLIOGY COMPRESSOR : The Ratio is 4.0 : 1 (CFM/HP).
How to Calculate Air Compressor HP To be used?
For example if your AODD Pump requirement is 10 CFM for duty point to 2m3/hr - 10 mtr head. You are required to get the compressor based on Thumb Rule of ~3HP/2900 motor with given compressor with the Air reciever of 250 - 300 ltr capacity or as advised by the air compressor manufacturer
Why to Calculate Air Compressor CFM?
