We are finally starting to see companies operating in sectors exposed to large audiences raise the issue of ewaste. Formula E's previous season produced viewing figures of 381 million people, up 20% from the previous year. As it grows in popularity, it is the perfect opportunity to highlight the issue and fast-growing stream of ewaste. Envision Racing did just that. Launching a global call to address the issue with a replica of their GEN3 car built out of discarded electrical products. Having shown it to not only the numerous Formula E fans out there but also to a national audience who tuned into the BBC One show, the hope is that a larger proportion of people understand the issues and begin to find better and more sustainable ways of reusing and recycling their old electronics. Keep a close eye on Envisions Recover E programme that hopes to bring waste to race and accelerate the creation of a circular economy. #sustainableelectronics #circulareconomy #ewaste

Online Marketing Consultant; Coaching People on Building a Successful Online Business through Marketing on Social Media
Last night, we had a great time racing these cub cars with the kids in our church. What a fun event and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. 🏎️ All these cars racing to the finish line helped me reflect on life. How we have to keep moving. It doesn’t matter so much what place you finish as long as you finish. In life, staying stationary isn’t possible. We always have to keep moving forward. May you remember that any small step towards where you want to be is better than staying stuck or moving backwards. #cubcar #racinglife #alwaysmoveforward #smallsteps #digitalbusinessowner #businessstrategist #changeyourlife #takeactionnow #worksmarterplayharder

Have you read 11th Hour Racing’s recent campaign report? We share 11th Hour Racing’s determination to demonstrate that performance and sustainability can co-exist, so we’re proud to be recognised in the report. One of the key learnings from the report is the importance of insetting – investing in innovations in the wider value chain to bring down organisation emissions year on year. 11th Hour Racing developed a process to identify potential innovations which could reduce their operational footprint. That’s where Lineat comes in, with 11th Hour Racing investing in research to help us increase productivity and reduce energy consumption. We look forward to working closely with the team in the future. If you want to read more, find the report in the comments. #Sustainabilty #Insetting #CarbonFibre

Y'all ever wonder what NASCAR teammates talk about on the radio under Caution?⚠️ Well, this radio communication between teammates Ryan Sieg, in the #39 RSS Racing SciAps Alter Metal Recycling Ford Mustang, and Matt DiBenedetto, in the #38 Viking Motorsports Recycled Materials Association Ford Mustang, talking strategy as they line up together should answer that!!🤜🤛 In a recycled metals facility, it’s also very important to have clear communication and strategy, so that everyone is going in the same direction in order to meet our goals, and most importantly, to ensure a safe atmosphere.♻️ NASCAR racing and the recycled materials industry, more in common than one might think, huh?🤔 Alter Trading SciAps Inc. As the F1 circus packed up and left after the Japanese Grand Prix, one couldn’t help but wonder about the sustainability of a racing series that will have visited 20 countries across five continents by the time the final checkered flag of 2023 is waved on Nov. 26 in Abu Dhabi. F1’s new generation of cars, introduced this year, are running on ‘E10’ fuel – a blend of 90% fuel and 10% renewable ethanol. Work with ARAMCO, and the sport’s other fuel suppliers, has been ongoing for several months now, with systems being put in place to enable enough production of the 100% sustainable fuel to power the cars from 2026. By taking fewer people to events, reducing the quantity of freight and helping to develop the synthetic fuels that will power road, sea and air transport, F1 has a significant opportunity. Not only to lead by example, but to create new opportunities for business development through technology transfer.
Formula One is gearing up to reduce its #environmental impact. Here’s how one team is winning on #waste.
