In a timeless tradition in NYC, our Harbor Unit escorted service men and women to help kick off Fleet Week 2024 by welcoming the annual Parade of Ships as it entered NY Harbor. To those who serve our country, thank you for your service & Happy Fleet Week NYC!

Promotion Day is a special event that recognizes the hard work & achievements of members of this department. Today's ceremony was especially noteworthy, as it included the promotion of two children of officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. CBSNewYork reports ⤵

As part of a recent initiative by NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Equity and Inclusion, Wendy Garcia, over 600 recruits received basic ASL training on how to identify themselves as police officers, as well as how to determine types of emergencies being required by hard-of-hearing people. As we gathered on Long Island, honoring the life & service of Officer Jonathan Diller, One Times Square, New Tradition, & the Times Square Alliance recognized our fallen officer, & now Detective First Grade, in the heart of NYC, by memorializing him on their digital billboard.

We extend our gratitude to the New York Mets for their tribute & support for our fallen officer, Jonathan Diller & his family, at today’s #OpeningDay ceremony at CitiField. As New York City continues to honor our hero, we wish the Mets a great 2024 season.
