Officially installed 10 months ago, Associate Supreme Court Justice Michael Noriega took the ceremonial oath of office Thursday before more than 200 guests at Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark.

  • Standing on the left, Associate Justice Michael Noriega wearing a dark suit and a brown tie has his right hand raised and his left hand resting on a Bible. The Bible is being held by his wife, a dark-haired woman wearing a tan-and-black patterned long halter-type dress. She is standing in the middle of the three main people in the picture. To her left is Chief Justice Stuart Rabner, who is in mid-sentence looking at Justice Noriega and holding a sheet of paper with the oath. Associate Justice Anne Patterson is seated smiling behind Justice Noriega. Behind the three main people is a monitor, almost the height of the wall, with a light blue background and displaying the seal of the Supreme Court of New Jersey.

One more good wish, pride, and thankfulness could feel good. Mike deserves it all.
