Mud Masters was a great success! 🏃 We were present at Mud Masters in Haarlemmermeer, where we supported the organization with challenging activities, including various obstacles for the participants. What an amazing experience it was! We enjoyed the energetic atmosphere and the impressive performances of all participants. Although this time we were on the sidelines watching, we can't wait to actively participate as a team in this wonderful event in the future. We'll be back on September 28th and 29th at Mud Masters in Biddinghuizen. Will you be there too? #MudMasters #ObstacleRun #NXTLevel

ADSWIM and Interreg seeds: #september 2023. Is it possible to reduce #seapollution and take advantage of the wastewater plants and treated and discharged #wastewater into the #sea? #interreg #italy -#croatia Programme 2014-2020and the #AdSWiM project coordinated by Università degli Studi di Udine aimed to apply new technologies, perform microbiological and chemical analyses to valuate if the treated wastewater, respecting the EU limits and discharged in the #adriaticsea, cuold have some useful role for the marine #environment. CAFC S.p.A., one of the 12 project partners, promoted the assessment of the #reefballs - concrete bell shape structures with holes - studied to become a restore for #fish and #algae along the coasts and contribute to rebuild the trophic chain. Adswim Reefballs were placed in the last part of #Lignano WWTP discharge pipe, after a complex approval administration process. The placement and the environment monitoring after three months of the reefballs were filmed to understand the efficiency of this technology. The videos and the photos revealed an important presence of living forms around and inside reefballs surfaces. Link here: https://lnkd.in/eNKZWTSa https://lnkd.in/gAUTs42 The project activities brought to the following statements: 1. Reeflballs, if placed in proximity of the purified discharged stream of the WW plant, could represents a suitable device for trapping and recovering nutrients. 2. Despite the closeness to the discharging line, reefballs could represent development sites for the restart of the trophic chain offering protection to small fish and crustaceous and support of several different living forms. Today we can read that the Adswim project’s intuition, was right. A project coordinated by Upi – Unità Produttiva Ittica” and created by Confcooperative Friuli Venezia Giulia, is providing now 80 new reefballs along the Lignano Coast to increase marine biodiversity and help the fish production. Check here the news of the Confcooperative FVG work: https://lnkd.in/eTpxmkQh The Adswim team is very happy for this work: Università Politecnica delle Marche, Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, OGS , CAFC S.p.A. Did you know that there are around 250,000 different species of flowering plants? 250,000 🌺🌸🌻🌼🪷🌹🥀🪻🌷 But less than 80 of them live in the sea. And they’re all species of seagrass. Here's five things you absolutely must know about seagrasses: 🗺️ Seagrasses are found living in coastal waters of every continent except for Antarctica, partly because it’s quite chilly there. 🦖 Seagrasses didn’t always live in the sea. Between 70,000 - 100,000 million years ago (that’s during the Cretaceous period), seagrasses evolved from the same group of flowering plants that include wheat, ginger, and lilies. For the plant lovers, that’s the monocots group. 🧬 Seagrass can clone itself! In Shark Bay, Western Australia, the species Poseidon’s ribbon weed made a baby with a different species of seagrass (we don’t know which one). That single hybrid seagrass created new shoots from its roots to create a clone of itself. Then again. And again…. and again… and again! So much so, in fact, that it now spans some 180 kilometres! That makes it the largest known clone on Earth. 🧓 Seagrass can get old… really old. Off the coast of Formentera, Spain, one 15-kilometre-wide seagrass meadow could be between 80,000 and 200,000 years old! In contrast, the Shark Bay seagrass dates back just 4,500 years. 🔎 You can help researchers learn more about seagrasses (and help us take better care of them, too)! All you have to do is send photos of seagrass to Project Seagrass using their SeagrassSpotter App. You don’t have to be able to identify the species, but if you think you know what it is, you can give them that information, too (https://lnkd.in/gFX_wr-h).

Yay, after some digging online and random exploration I discovered one of the entrances to the Lost River. The river itself seems to be an acid that is heavier than the water here therefore making it a very hostile place, on top of that we have a new type of Leviathan to deal with: #PS5, #SONY, #Subnautica, #UnknowngamesEntertainment, #LinkedlnforCreators https://lnkd.in/egHydu5t
