💯 How should parents react when children score 7 or 8 on a test? Most people see grades as a measure of academic performance. However, only some grades reflect the actual capabilities of students. Sharing at a seminar about primary and secondary school at Scotch AGS, Dr. Kelly Sharp, Chair of Scotch AGS Academic Committee and Director of Operation - Scotch International Education, analyzed a common scenario: Many parents are dissatisfied with scores of 7 or 8 and want their children to try harder to achieve the highest score, which can sometimes create pressure, causing stress, exhaustion, and a loss of interest in learning. 🗣 "If your children have put in their best effort, you should celebrate and encourage them to participate in extracurriculars to help them understand themselves, explore the world, and increase self-confidence. On the other hand, when they have not performed to the best of their abilities, we need to motivate them to study, guide them to set new goals such as scoring 9 or 10, and help them achieve," said Dr. Kelly Sharp. By understanding children's academic capabilities, parents can provide appropriate support to ensure that children maximize their potential. Therefore, Scotch AGS teachers always take responsibility for observing, monitoring, and recording students' progress and strive to stay in touch with parents.
