Recently, I had the privilege of speaking at Exit Planning Exchange San Antonio (XPX San Antonio) about the pivotal role a structured and well-planned sales training program plays in helping business owners maximize their business value as part of their exit strategy. Potential buyers closely examine five key revenue indicators: Revenue Growth Customer Retention Quota Attainment Sales Productivity Time to Productivity Employee Satisfaction and Retention Achieving these indicators requires time and strategic effort. So, what are three essential elements of an impactful sales training program? 1) Focus on attitude and behaviors, not just techniques. 2) Shift away from treating training as a one-time event. 3) Emphasize ongoing reinforcement.
