Are you heading off to #ise2024?
Here's my list of things to be aware of before you go!
1. Dave Haynes had a great post about this. Download AND PRINT your ISE badge via the app. Bring a backup for water-related incidents.
2. As well as the South side access (like last year), there will also be East and North side access that takes you through the ISE sound experience. I guess that this will help ease some of that early morning congestion.
3. Fira is HUGE. Bring comfortable footwear.
4. If you're exhibiting, you can pick up a travel card at the reception desks, granting you free tube access during the event. This came in handy multiple times last year.
5. It goes without saying, but bring some sanitizer. There are lots of people. We may be living in a post-Covid world, but the cold season this year is strong.
6. Berocca or something filled with vitamins is a must. All that talking and walking drains you. Stay Hydrated, too!
7. Finally, toilets and food. The queues in the central halls are mad. I've seen people queue for over an hour for fish and chips. Take a look around some of the outer halls. Last year, I saw some smaller stalls at the back of hall six that looked delicious (talking about the food) with zero traffic.
That's it! I can't wait to see you all at the show!
Here are my highlights from last year.

The introduction of MIFARE Ultralight contactless ICs for limited-use applications leads to reduced system installation and maintenance costs. MIFARE Ultralight products can easily be integrated into existing schemes and even standard paper ticket vending equipment can be easily upgraded.
Key applications
Limited use tickets in public transport (e.g.: single and multiple trip tickets, tourist weekend passes)

#RFID_technology has really changed the game for #events, It made things way easier and more fun for everyone.
First, #attendees get a much better experience. Instead of worrying about losing #tickets or fumbling with cash, they can just wear an #RFID badge or #wristband that lets them get into different parts of the event and even buy anything without needing any cash on hand.
For #sponsors and #vendors, RFID means more opportunities to get their brand out there and engage with attendees. They can set up an interactive #booths or #games that people can play with their RFID wristbands, and they can even see how are their brands is doing in real-time.
Moreover, #event_organizers can see who's where in the actual-time, which helps them in planning things better and figure out what's popular with the crowd (#heat_map) and this is too helpful in flexible #marketing_plan.
And with all that data they collect, they can make future events way better by personalizing things based on what people liked this time around and where is the crowed.
And let's not forget about the #environment! Using RFID instead of paper tickets and #cash means way less waste, which is always a very good way to save the environment.
And from #security perspective, those RFID badges make it super easy to keep track of who's supposed to be there.
No more worrying about fake tickets or people sneaking into places they shouldn't be.
Finally, RFID has made events more #convenient, #secure, and fun for everyone Event organizers, Vendors, Sponsors and for sure the attendees.

"Sometimes, when I'm running late, I can't find my parking ticket. It's like it has a mind of its own!”
This is just one challenge attendees face at events, but the days of fumbling for parking tickets are over!
Now, things are getting easier for event-goers. No more worries about paper tickets.
Imagine you're heading to your favorite stadium, getting excited, and your mobile parking pass is all set! Just show that digital pass proudly, and you'll roll into your parking spot like a VIP.
Venues are embracing tech for convenience, offering digital entry, 3D Game Insight, In-Seat Ordering, and more. Isn't it great that attending events is now more user-friendly and efficient for your audience, right?
On a scale of 1 to 10, how much does technology impact the guest experience at venues today? Comment below.
