The Uncrewed Aircraft System (UAS) Project Office issues a Request for Information (RFI) with the intent of gathering market research from industry regarding current and future Group 4 or 5 UAS designs that could provide an effective, suitable, survivable, and certifiable product to be used by the U.S. Army. This is not a request for proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. The Government is not seeking proposals and will not accept or action unsolicited proposals. The Government does not presently intend to award a contract, and only seeks to obtain market information on capabilities to inform future program planning. Further, this RFI does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any supplies or services in the future. NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration is seeking information from industry in order to inform the Office of Marine and Aviation (OMAO), #Uncrewed Aircraft Systems Division (UASD) is seeking information on radar systems that can be used for #sUAS (small Uncrewed Aircraft Systems) operations at sea. The radar system is expected to seamlessly integrate with NOAA's existing ship radars, including but not limited to the FAR2827 model (X-band radar), FAR2837 model (S-Band Radar), FURUNO 3220BB with a 6.5' array (X Band), as well as the Furno 3230SSB with a 12' array (S Band). Compatibility with the RPU-013 for processing units is a key requirement. The ultimate goal of this initiative is to enable Beyond Visual Line of Sight (#BVLOS) operations in a due regard setting from a NOAA vessel with multiple aircraft ensuring safe operations for both NOAA and non participating aircraft. https://lnkd.in/eFhy6b2t

Defense Industry Base/Army Opportunity: Below is a Request For White Papers opportunity. The Government is requesting interested sources to provide white papers which demonstrate capability to meet the some Command Post Integrated Infrastructure (CPI2) requirements. White Paper responses are due to the government NLT 1630 on 1 December 2023. 1. What communication (Wi-Fi/Satellite Communications (SATCOM)/radio) technologies and power (onboard / smart) technologies are available to increase command post dispersion? - On the Move (OTM) Wireless Line of Sight (LOS) technologies at preferred ranges at or greater than 300 meters to interconnect vehicles. Please identify throughput and range of wireless technologies proposed including max number of vehicles (network nodes) the proposed wireless technology can support. CPI2 is looking for wireless technologies that can support greater than 200MB and can support up to 30 separate nodes and mesh technologies is preferred. Identify spectrum and signature concerns and process on getting spectrum access to commercial frequencies. Other concerns are potential degradation of signal when command post vehicles are in dense foliage. All equipment proposed or suggested shall fit on the Stryker, Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV), and Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) as well as S788, M1087 and S280 vehicles and shelters. - OTM SATCOM technologies to increase command posts survivability and dispersion by operating OTM and facilitating expeditionary network capability. - Within your architecture, the system should provide Secure But Unclassified-Encrypted (SBU-E) or equivalent encryption technologies, capable of operating over tactical Non-Classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPR) with throughput equal or greater than 300MB. - Options for automated Primary, Alternate, Contingency, and Emergency (PACE) technologies - Conferencing and other communication capabilities. - Proposed system shall be built into a transit case system that is modular, scalable System shall be able to be removed easily out of a vehicle and put into another vehicle or a building or tent. - Are proposed systems already in use by US government and can systems be procured via Government Wide Acquisition Contract and/or commercially, please provide details. 2. Vehicle on the move power 15-20 kWh generation to use on the S788, M1087 and S280 vehicles and shelters. #army #defenseindustry #defense #modernization

OUSD(R&E) will be a hosting a just announced Thunderstorm event at Ft Huachuca in June. This is another great opportunity to bring forward persistent sensing capabilities to receive valuable feedback from the Warfighter. From Innovation and Modernization, "The I&M Innovation Discovery program coordinates the Thunderstorm series with the goal of fostering engagement between Government stakeholders and technology developers. Thunderstorm provides opportunities for developers to showcase their solutions in an operationally realistic environment in order for the Government attendees to discover potential new defense capabilities. The technology discovery environment facilitates opportunities for end user observations and feedback to be interjected early in the prototyping process, with the goal of informing and accelerating delivery of future capabilities needed by the DoD and U.S. interagency partners." If you, or a company you know, has capabilities that support the following, please make sure they are aware of this fantastic event. - Small, Cost-Effective Sensors - Robust Sensors for All Operations - Innovative Sensor Solutions - Next-Generation Sensor Management https://lnkd.in/eEy2dsVA
