Primergy’s #EmployeeSpotlight Series: Meet Ashlynne Hobcroft, Project Development Associate! Ashlynne uses her dual-degrees in environmental science and statistics to support our development team. Prior to Primergy, she began her career as an intern at a regional renewable energy developer while wrapping up her final year at UNC Chapel Hill. What do you like about the company's culture? "As a fully remote employee, it can be difficult to meet colleagues and form deeper connections, but Primergy does a great job of creating meaningful ways for the teams to connect in person. I love that we get to work with people from a variety of different backgrounds, cultures, and locations. Additionally, attending conferences, company retreats, and project meetings helps cultivate relationships with team members - not everyone gets to do that working remotely." #WeArePrimergy #Solar #CleanEnergy #Renewables

Last night was my first time attending a GreenHomeNYC event as a volunteer instead of a participant, and it was worth the trip! Everyone met at the National Grid office in Brooklyn to listen to the night's topic: “Women in Renewable Energy.” Regardless of the event's focus on women's leadership in renewable energy, the event was filled with meaningful career lessons that can apply to anyone looking to transition into a 🌲 “green career.” 🌲 The panel was filled with powerhouses who detailed their professional journeys in their current roles. Here are some of the key takeaways from each speaker: 1️⃣ Don’t limit yourself to a specific title; explore the industry's options. You may surprise yourself with an interesting role that may not be the exact title you were looking for. Continuously build on your technical and transferable skills. Skills like organization and project management are valuable in any field. ☀ Anmol Sajjad, Director of Solar, Brightcore Energy 2️⃣ Don’t limit yourself to what you believe is your skillset and strengths. Technical skills can be learned and honed throughout your career, especially if you approach your career path with curiosity and flexibility. ☀ Nathalie Jouanneau, JV Strategy & Portfolio Manager, Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind LLC 3️⃣ Every experience, whether positive or negative, is an opportunity to better understand your strengths, weaknesses, and interests! If you find yourself in a role you don’t like, that’s not wasted time but rather valuable insight that can better prepare you for your next role. ☀ Alex Wineholt, Director, Project Development, PowerFlex Each panelist provided a ton of resources for professionals to expand their networks, strengthen their skill sets, and learn more about the renewable industry. Check out these organizations and resources that were recommended: Solar Energy Industries Association Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE) U.S. Energy Information Administration NYSERDA Bureau of Ocean Energy Management Federal Energy Regulatory Commission The American Clean Power Association (ACP) Solar Powered Success 🤝 And the most common tip shared? Network!🤝 Whether you’re networking internally within your current organization or externally at events like GreenHomeNYC, both can add value to your career. If you want to transition into sustainability, I highly recommend checking out GreenhomeNYC and their Green Careers team. They host in-person networking events, resume workshops, and great opportunities to learn from others in the field! #GreenCareers #Sustainability #RenewableEnergy #CareerTransition

Today, we're going on a exciting journey into the life of our project manager at group operations, Valentina Falconi, one of the people who makes all the cool stuff at Inrego happen. What do you do? I lead big projects - everything from adding new technology to finding even better ways of doing things. Where there's an opportunity to develop better tools for everyone to use, that's where we come in to the picture. I'm really excited about a future project that will use AI to help improve our work. We're currently looking in to what AI is, where we can apply it and which parts of our processes it can support. It's going to be a fun project to work on. The real gem of working at Inrego? It's the product, the service we provide! The innovative spirit of our workspace triggers fascinating conversations with colleagues about technology, business strategies, customer behaviors - it's like navigating an exciting theme park of insights. And the best part from a sustainability perspective? Knowing that we're making electronic products - products I can't imagine a future without - better for the environment. At university I studied alternative economics and did my thesis on circular economy, so when it was time to get a job, Inrego was an obvious choice. I knew I needed to work at a company that has a real commitment to sustainability. At Inrego, our commitment is not just to creating great products and services, but also to ensuring that our work contributes to a sustainable future. And that commitment extends to each one of us, from the leadership to the project managers. It's what makes working here not just a job, but a mission to innovate, inspire and make a lasting impact. #LifeAtInrego #Sustainability #ProjectManagement #CircularEconomy

Happy Earth Day! 🌎 Oceanside is embarking on a new transformative energy initiative aimed at enhancing sustainability and reducing costs. Through a series of strategic measures, Oceanside is poised to achieve significant energy efficiency gains, including: 🔸 Integrating 1.6 megawatts of solar alongside a 250-kilowatt energy storage system and an energy management system 🔸 Replacing and refurbishing HVAC units 🔸 Installing new, efficient distribution transformers and heat pumps 🔸 Upgrading interior and exterior lighting at City facilities to LED This major initiative is projected to reduce 4,200,000 kWh of electricity per year, which is equivalent to the greenhouse gas emissions of 641 cars annually or 579 homes' electricity use for one year. Additionally, the project includes a great community engagement effort through a range of programs: 🔸 Paid internships with the City 🔸 The placement of a CivicSpark Fellow to provide support for Oceanside's Climate Action Plan 🔸 Establishing a living lab equipped with real-time solar data 🔸 Bolstering support for the Parks & Recreation Dept. by facilitating after-school programs that promote STEM activities #Oceanside #GreenOceanside #renewableenergy #sustainability #environment #solar #solarenergy #climateaction

We are super pleased to introduce you to Charles Checkley! Here are his first impressions: ⚡ Granular Energy in a sentence? The software solution to hourly, monthly and annual energy matching. 🤝 Your role? Commercial Associate - I work on a wide variety of topics including data handling, business development and technical solutions. 🔋 What do you want to achieve with us? I’d love for my work to influence the creation of new energy storage / generation assets. 🌏 Favourite thing about Granular Energy: 🥇 What we’re working on is awesome. Energy matching with greater granularity will have a massive positive impact on decarbonising the grid. 🥈 The international team, it’s so much more interesting hearing about peoples weekends when we’re spread around the world. 🏄♂️ Fact or hobby? Wakeboarding! I’m lucky enough to have worked as a coach in both Greece and Croatia. We have more #openroles so if you want to learn more about green energy hourly matching, wakeboarding or what we did over the weekend, head over here: #startupjobs #climatetechjobs #impactjobs #softwareengineerjobs
