They will be reviewing case studies for buildings which have energy efficiency or renewable energy in geographical locations between Cork & Bray. A 10-year study showed that commercial and residential buildings continue to be the single largest contributor to Worcester’s greenhouse gas emission, and the City has proposed adopting a specialized energy code (stretch code) to address this. I am very excited to share that we have released a new report on the opportunities, pathways, and costs in the United States for removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. https://roads2removal.org/ This work necessarily complements the reduction of carbon-gas emissions; it can (and should) involve participation across the country. Chapters 1-8 provide excellent technical descriptions of all CO2 removal pathways. If you want granularity, check these out. Chapter 9: Energy, Equity, and Environmental Justice is a particularly important inclusion that assesses the human and environmental aspects of CO2 removal.
