“We should celebrate neurodiversity – the world would be poorer and life duller if we were all the same.”―Neil Milliken
As diversity, equity, and inclusion become increasingly important, it's crucial to ensure that all voices are heard. This includes Trans people, who often face unique challenges and obstacles. In fact, it's impossible to consider yourself a DEI professional if you're not actively making room for Trans individuals in your conversations and decision-making processes. Even if you’re the lone voice standing up for them. Let's work together to create a more equitable and inclusive world for everyone. #DEI #TransRights #InclusionMatters #QuadCities #LGBTQ

Happy PRIDE Month! At The Arts Quotient, we know that embracing inclusivity is not just about doing what's right; it's about fostering environments where every individual feels valued, respected, and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work. Research tells us that there are specific things leaders can do to promote diversity, inclusion, and belongingness not just during PRIDE month, but every day of the year. We need to stop treating "coming out" as the only desirable way of existing for queer people at work. There are a million reasons why someone wouldn't want to come out at work, and not all of them have to do with your leadership skills. (Though some might.) Maybe it's a matter of safety. Maybe they desperately don't want the information to get back to their families. Maybe they're not ready or willing to take on the labour of navigating being out at work. Maybe not everyone on the team will be quite as inclusive as you think they'll be. No matter the reason, not being out is ALWAYS a valid choice for queer employees. in it for CHANGE. #QueerInclusion #LGBTQ #QueerAtWork

Had a great lunch with William Kapfer at the Gamma Mu Foundation Weekend and had an inspiring discussion about the importance of diversity in today's corporate supply chains. As businesses continue to grow and expand, it's crucial to recognize the value of diversity in supply chains. With diverse suppliers, companies can bring new perspectives and ideas to the table, ultimately leading to more innovative and successful outcomes. Let's continue to prioritize diversity and inclusion in all aspects of business. #diversityinsupplychain #inclusionmatters #businessgrowth #mbusa #lgbtq #legaloperations

By encouraging allyship in your organization, you can increase inclusivity and equity for all employees. The actions, behaviors, and practices that leaders take to support and advocate with others, can be a powerful example. Thorough education about communities you’re interested in demonstrating allyship towards, empathizing with minority perspectives to understand the impact of systemic barriers and listening to the needs of underrepresented groups are all ongoing actions that demonstrate inclusive work environments. True allyship is available in every personal interaction and requires building genuine relationships to create a workplace of equity and fairness. #inclusion #diversity #inclusionmatters #equality #equity #community #accessibility #diversityandinclusion #awareness #pride #lgbtq #unity #representationmatters #lgbt #allyship #womenempowerment #humanrights #community #diversitymatters #leadership #blacklivesmatter #representationmatters #womenempowerment #humanrights

“I wish that in the next 20 years, there is no need for a Mardi Gras. Then we truly have reached a point of equality where everyone can just be who they are and their authentic selves, and not have to fear that someone is going to discriminate against them because of who they love.” That was the response from Albert Kruger, the former CEO of Mardi Gras when we asked him what his ultimate hope was for Mardi Gras. As we celebrate and honour Pride Month, it’s an important time to think about the steps your organization is taking (and can take) to be a true ally when it comes to LGBTQIA+ inclusion. Listen as Albert shares: 🚫 His views on the big red flag when it comes to organizations and rainbow washing; and 🏳️🌈 What organizations can do to step up during Pride Month, and beyond.
