eTail 25 Celebrates Women in Retail This year, we're excited to spotlight the invaluable contributions of women in the retail industry with our special Women in (R)etail Breakfast and Women in (R)etail Meetup at eTail London, 25-26 June, 2024. As part of the program, we will be sharing insights with you captured from the Women in Leadership, Pathways to Success’ Survey led by Kate Nightingale (Kasia Slowikowska), Chief Behavioural Officer, Humanising Brands and Founder of Women of Retail. Your feedback will be critical in shaping the conversation and celebrate the diverse voices of women in retail. Another amazing session of Black Women in Retail. This session was all about working with Meijers Fairfax Market. Although we already have our products on the shelf there was one big takeaway. It’s not about just landing on the shelf and waiting for the sales to happen. 🙏🏾 What are you doing to make sure your products sell? 🤔 This is something I plan to do better to increase our hot chocolate sales throughout the year. 🫣 ☕️Get ready to be inundated with the Joy of Just One Cup. ✨What tactics do you use to stay top of mind for your customers?

I had the great pleasure of attending the Executive Alliance - A Catalyst for Women Leaders in Maryland's 2024 Honor Roll Award for Women's Representation ceremony where CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield received an Honor Roll award. The Honor Role award recognizes publicly traded and private companies and organizations in Maryland that employ women in at least 30% of their executive leadership rolls AND have women in at least 30% of their board of director seats. So #CareFirstProud to work for an organization that is a leader in supporting the recruitment, development, and advancement of women in the workplace and corporate boards. However, there is still work to be done. In Maryland, only 26 out of 673 director seats are held by women, lagging behind the national average for gender and racial diversity. In comparison, Fortune 500 companies have 30% of women hold board seats, while the S&P 500 has 33%. There are 8 Maryland companies with all male boards. Executive alliance seeks to empower and diversify women leaders as they grow and develop through their careers. Since 1993 they have been a catalyst for women leaders in the greater Baltimore area.
