What a great organization helping another great organization
St. Claire HealthCare is pleased to support local organizations with similar missions. On Monday, SCH President/CEO Donald H. Lloyd, II, and Mindy Highley, SCH Executive Director of Community Engagement and Philanthropy presented a $50,000 check to Bev Gilliam, Director of the Rowan County Christian Social Services to allow that organization to better address community needs. “St. Claire is honored to help organizations who share a vision of bettering the lives of the people of eastern Kentucky,” said Lloyd. “There is a tremendous need for the services provided by Christian Social Services in Rowan County and they are making a difference in our community every single day.”

🌟 Empowering Communities: Bridging the Gap Between Corporations and Non-Profits 🌟 As professionals, we often find ourselves deeply committed to fostering positive change in our communities. Today, I want to share a vision that holds immense potential for impact: the powerful collaboration between corporations and non-profit organizations. Regardless of our roles within our respective companies, we possess the ability to forge meaningful partnerships that can uplift and empower those in need. If there's a non-profit you deeply resonate with, take a moment to envision the transformative impact that could be achieved by joining forces. For me, that organization is Cradles To Crayons Inc, specifically their Philadelphia Chapter. Their dedication to providing essential resources and educational support to children in need resonates deeply, particularly in a city like Philadelphia, where over 300,000 children grapple with poverty. It's crucial to recognize that these children are not just statistics; they are the future of our community. By empowering them with the tools they need to thrive, we're investing in a brighter tomorrow for everyone. So, I urge you: if there's a cause close to your heart, don't hesitate to reach out. Forge connections between your company and the non-profit sector. Together, we can create a ripple effect of positive change that reverberates far beyond our individual efforts. Let's work hand in hand to build a future where every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Together, we can make a difference. 💫 #CommunityEmpowerment #CorporateSocialResponsibility #PartnershipsThatMatter https://lnkd.in/dw4VTbUs

Marketing Innovation Executive | SVP, Client Experience | Strategic Visionary | Digital Disruptor | End-to-End Program Delivery
It's interesting to see what happens when you speak out. In this case, it’s an invitation via Tim Eby to join the board at the St. Louis Civic Pride Foundation and the honor that comes with serving. The Foundation is an education non-profit, part of Explore St. Louis, our local convention and tourism bureau. The mission: to energize St. Louisans to support their community. Here’s where I editorialize. This is an example of passion + need = opportunity. I'm passionate and vocal that each of us needs to SHOW UP to improve the cities we live in, for ourselves and the generations to come. And my home town, which has so much potential and resources, also has many challenges. Improving civic pride is one of dozens of things needed to address those challenges. Which leads to opportunty: when someone comes knocking, asking for help, in my experience you find a way to help. Bottom line: just say yes! I’m excited to join my fellow board members, roll up my sleeves and get to work!

We're thrilled to be featured in a recent Stanford Social Innovation Review article! 🙌 In 'To Save Democracy, Fund Organizing,' Loren McArthur emphasizes the crucial role that organizing plays in revitalizing our democracy. But to achieve this at scale, we must address progressive movement groups' financial challenges. Since our launch in 2017, Progressive Multiplier has helped organizations develop and scale independent revenue strategies. By providing targeted support, we help movement groups to reduce reliance on institutional philanthropy. This financial independence allows nonprofits to be sustainable, accountable to the communities they serve, and to respond to their needs agilely 🌱 👁️🗨️ https://lnkd.in/eENvrVYY [#Philanthropy #Organizing #NonProfit #Fundraising #FundraisingStrategy #ProgressiveNonProfits #ProgressiveMovement #CapacityBuilding]

My name is Tammy and I help busy non-profit leaders prepare for and engage in AmeriCorps programming to reduce their staff burden and enhance their community outreach.
Today, we will review Indirect Service: Indirect service, or capacity building, strengthens organizations to better tackle poverty-related issues through activities like program development, volunteer recruitment, fundraising, strategic planning, and community partnerships. It aims for sustainable change by addressing root causes. AmeriCorps VISTA members, trained for indirect service, enhance the capacity of host organizations, ensuring lasting effectiveness beyond their term. This approach fosters enduring improvements in an organization's ability to address poverty and community needs.
