Great article ICYMI - AI has the potential to revolutionize global #education, improving learning outcomes and preparing students for the #futureofwork, according to the World Economic Forum report "Shaping the Future of Learning: The Role of AI in Education 4.0." However, as WEF stresses, for #AI to truly benefit everyone, it must be rolled out inclusively, and with educators at the center of the conversation: https://lnkd.in/gUrgnT3M

Generative AI is a powerful tool and like all tools can do much harm or much good. It depends on us. Many are rightly concerned with the impact generative AI will have on jobs but one of the professions least at risk of automation is TEACHING, which at its core is fundamentally a relational enterprise. All those involved in #Education: This is our moment. Good education helps us grow, develop, learn, and decide who we want to be and what world we want to live in. These are all things AI cannot (and should not) do for us. The below World Economic Forum piece below with David Edwards is a good read. Yesterday I had a similar conversation with my neighbour, also in terms of politics. Our education system is sooooo lacking behind. If you think about it, it’s rather shocking. They still teach the same way as when I was in school?! Where digital transformation is disrupting business, we keep holding on to a very traditional and outdated way of educating our children. Most teachers have no clue when it comes to technology. My dyslexic son still needs to learn too many foreign languages - which he might only use on holidays - while the translator apps probably will become his best friend. Why can we not teach tech? The digital skills gap is growing. Let’s act now! #education #techliteracy #AI

In the final post from the series of blogs about #AI in #consulting Bo de Jong calls educational institutions for action - "The difference between what students already know and what they need to know about AI might be bridged with a proactive approach". Consultants can be a helping hand in it.
