Exciting day. Started with the Certificates for https couldnt be renewed due to deprecation of v1 of letsencrypt service. It couldnt be updated for Ubuntu 14.04, that we used for a legacy Magento installation that has been online since 2015. All of you know what a update of Operating system can do. A lot of deprecated variables in Mysql some changes in filesystem limits. And now Php 7. But all seems operating right now. But I will monitor the logs to see if something will throw errors :D #magento #legacymagento, #systemadministration.

the next #opensource #github project was: #socioboard - the goal was/is to manage multiple #social #media platforms using one main interface. it takes some steps to get the #app running. among them are installing decencies using #npm - a package manager for #javascript. cd into multiple folders, npm install --> now we see way too many hints about deprecated libraries and potential high risks. if we continue with this journey, we have to set up a #database (#mariandb). next, some configuration in multiple folder and run multiple micros services in parallel. you see, this does not sound very inviting. another issue is, it seems like, the project is not maintained actively anymore. the last release on github was on 15.11.2019. let us conclude, socioboard is not the right choice for me

I was learning to react and all the routes in the local host were working perfectly. When I hosted the app on github pages, the whole browser directory was messed up. This was because of how github pages works. Github pages creates a browser directory for you which will be your github username and then the directories will be your repositories. It will create a website based on your index.html file for each directory. It does not create the extra browser directories you may have within the repository. So how did I overcome this? The general consensus was to use a HashRouter instead of a BrowserRouter. Browser router looks like this https://lnkd.in/eJUFjabH while HashRouter looks like this https://lnkd.in/eTzBsU8Q The hashtag makes the website still at that browser directory linkedin.com/ but the hashtag lets you use the rest of the url as a string to help you with the routing. In the comments there is a link to an article that helped me with this issue. #github #react #browser

Hello Next.js Community, I hope you're all doing well. I wanted to share an issue I've come across while working with Next.js, specifically regarding the use of server actions in intercepting routes. Recently, I attempted to utilize server actions for intercepting routes within my Next.js application, I encountered an unexpected error. What's particularly perplexing is that when I applied the same server action code to a standard page route, it functioned flawlessly without any errors. Upon investigation, it seems there may be a potential bug within Next.js causing this inconsistency in server action behavior. Despite my best efforts, I haven't been able to resolve the issue independently. Interestingly, I stumbled upon a Reddit post where another user reported a similar problem. It appears that multiple individuals are experiencing this issue, yet a solution remains elusive. For further context and to contribute to the ongoing discussion, I've included a link to the Reddit post below. I'm reaching out to the Next.js community for assistance in addressing this matter. If anyone has insights or suggestions on how to resolve this issue, I would greatly appreciate your input. Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to your responses and contributions.

Experienced Frontend Developer | Specializing in React.js , Next.js and React Native| Building User-Friendly Web Applications
Hello everyone. I’m currently learning about server actions in Next.js and I’m a bit confused with the code below. As I understand it, server components only run once on the server and the compiled code is sent to the client, right? So, why are we writing ‘use server’ in server actions inside my component, even though the component runs on the server by default? Also, I should mention that this component is located directly inside the app directory. #react #nextjs14 #nextJs #frontenddeveloper #questions #ریکت #برنامه_نویس #نکست
