That's 1/3 of the world’s population, and many of these in Africa. The latest data from the GSMA and Broadband Commission shows that for every 10% increase in internet use, GDP grows by an additional 1.5%. In developing markets, that boost is even greater. The technological developments we see across the world around 5G, digital payments and artificial intelligence are giving developed countries a productivity boost. Developing markets need to keep up. If we don’t, this has the potential to create even more inequality. It is imperative that we ensure that this doesn't happen. UAE Beginnings 🇦🇪 After more than 1 year of preparation we are very excited having started a new Interview Series covering the asset management industry in the MENA region. Here 52 years later on Dec 2nd when 6 local rulers of the #Emirates in #1971 agreed to create UAE as a federation Coherra is honoured to join other pioneers and to participate in the evolution where a region is to bridge the historical heritage with it's future vision. In collaboration with media partners our local team has already visited the #AbuDhabiFinanceweek and they are now busy at #cop28uae speaking with local and foreign guests. The financial industry is growing fast in the region and by a distinct commitment from local policymakers to make UAE a global center for financial innovation industry leaders and entrepreneurs are already settling in the UAE. The second edition of the Marrakech Economic Parliamentary Forum for the Euro-Mediterranean Region and Gulf, organized by PAM, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, kicks off today in Morocco. The event, opened by the highest political Moroccan authorities, will gather more than 300 participants: governments and parliaments delegates from 32 of the Member States, and several representatives from international institutions, that during the two days-meetings will discuss on challenges and opportunities of energy supply and green transition processes, entrepreneurship in a digital world and the challenge of AI in the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf regions.
