Presentations can feel one-sided. You deliver your message, but how do you know it lands? The key is building a feedback loop. Here are 3 of my strategies I use to get insights from my audience and to sharpen my presentations: The best one is Polls & Q&A to engage your audience! Use polls during your presentation or a Q&A after the presentation. This will help you see where you can clarify. The easiest one is Feedback Forms. They are simple surveys you can distribute before or after your talk. Ask for honest feedback on content, delivery, or anything else you want to improve. My S-Tier Tip: Give something valuable (which gives back cost, time or access) for their feedback. Insist on giving the freebie even for negative comments! The most powerful is One-on-One Chats: Talk to attendees after the presentation. Ask specific questions to understand their perspective and what stuck with them. Incorporating this feedback creates a loop: Present, Gather Insights, Refine, and Present Better. Do, Learn, Improve, Repeat. The result? Presentations that truly connect with your audience and outstanding returns on investment on your objective. #presentationtips #publicspeaking

It pains me to see how your team's potential is being waisted! International Speaker I Corporate Trainer I Leaders, Managers: Add the Glue Element to your Identity and get a Sticky, Motivated and Unstoppable TEAM.
Have you ever felt the pressure of "delivering value"? If you did, you might also have had to deal with a common misconception: the more information you cram in, the more valuable it becomes. But here's the truth: information overload leads to confusion… We've all sat through presentations that felt like information firehoses, leaving us overwhelmed and disoriented. This approach might seem thorough, but it ultimately undermines the very value we're trying to deliver. So, let's debunk the myth of value and embrace the power of SIMPLICITY. (Oh. Just writing the word feels like a relief. Right?) CLARITY Instead of bombarding your audience with too much information, it’s best to prioritize a clear, concise message. Because a clear message guides your audience towards a specific action, maximizing impact. LESS IS MORE Speak in plain language that your audience understands and avoid technical jargon and convoluted sentence structures. It makes your message more impactful. FOCUS ON END RESULT People aren't interested in theoretical exercise. They want to know: how will this help me? Shift your focus from packing your message with information to delivering on a promise. By prioritizing clarity, focusing on impact, and delivering actionable insights, you can empower your audience to achieve their desired results. And that makes you and your presentation memorable. What do YOU think? #publicspeaking #publicspeakingtraining #publicspeakingcoaching #clarity #messaging #impact

What if there is a proven way to captivate your audience, give your message with impact, and ensure your presentation remains etched in their minds long after the applause fades? Introducing the Rule of 3—a dynamic technique that holds the key to crafting presentations that truly resonate. Get ready to unlock the magic of trios and transform your presentation prowess in the professional world. 🔑 Why does the Rule of 3 work so effectively? Our brains are wired to gravitate towards patterns, and the number 3 is a universal pattern that resonates with us. Here's why it's so impactful: 🌟 Memorability: Three points are easy to remember, ensuring your message sticks with your audience long after the presentation ends. 🌟 Engagement: The rhythm created by presenting information in threes captivates listeners and keeps them engaged throughout your talk. 🌟 Simplicity: Three key points simplify complex ideas, making them more comprehensible and relatable to your audience. #kapable #ruleofthree #ruleof3 #presentation #presentationtips #presentationskills #publicspeaking #publicspeakingtips #training #professionaldevelopment #professionalgrowth #course

🐳 Did you know less than 5% of your key messages reach the audience in most presentations? Stop drowning your key points in a sea of facts. 🌊 In our journey at Winning Presentations, we've learned a few hard truths about delivering impactful pitches and presentations. One significant insight? Our research suggests that key messages get across to the audience in less than 5% of cases. Yes, you read that right, less than 5%. Why does this happen? It boils down to three main factors: information overload, lack of clarity, and lack of repetition. We've seen too many presentations brimming with facts, statistics, and slides. What happens? The key message gets lost in the sea of information, leaving audiences feeling overwhelmed. Similarly, we've come across presenters who themselves aren't clear about their key messages. If you, as a presenter, are not clear, how can you expect your audience to grasp those critical points? Finally, repetition is key for retention. The more memorable your message, the better. Make it stick by repeating it throughout your presentation in fresh, engaging ways. Our journey has taught us that the strength of your presentation or sales pitch lies in understanding your audience, defining clear key messages based on that understanding, presenting information concisely, and repetition to make it memorable. Navigating these challenges can be tough, but with focus and practice, you can ensure your key messages resonate with your audience. #PresentationSkills #SalesPitch #PublicSpeaking #WinningPresentations

I recently learnt about the #WISE principle for introductions in presentations, which stands for #Welcoming the audience, #Introducing yourself, #Saying what the topic is, and #Explaining why the topic is relevant to your audience. This #framework provides a clear and effective way to engage the audience from the start and set the stage for a compelling presentation. The #WISE principle encourages presenters to begin by welcoming the audience and creating a sense of rapport. This can be done by establishing a connection, sharing a personal anecdote, or simply acknowledging the audience's presence. Next, the presenter should introduce themselves and establish their credibility on the topic. This helps to build trust and confidence in the audience. The third element of the #WISE principle is to clearly state the topic and its significance. This provides the audience with a clear understanding of what to expect and why the topic is important. Finally, the presenter should explain why the topic is relevant to the audience, highlighting its practical applications and benefits. All these must be said in less than 3-5minutes😂😂😂. I couldn't help but think back to presentations I've witnessed and check if they followed the #WISE principle for introductions. While there's no one-size-fits-all approach to making an introduction in a presentation, using the #WISE principle can certainly help make it more effective.

You are sitting in a presentation… …and the slides are just bombarding you with information—numbers and bullet points. The thing is, our brains can only handle so much at once. When a presentation is overloaded like that, it overwhelms us. You can't digest it all, and end up tuning out. Plus, let's be real, you might have seen presentations that are dull and lack that spark to keep you interested. So, when you combine information overload with a lackluster delivery, it's a recipe for boredom. And that's why audiences struggle to stay engaged. Steve Jobs demonstrated a fresh approach by crafting his presentations to be exciting and story-driven. He showed us that while it's easy to lose an audience with dull content, it's just as easy to captivate them with something interesting. Ready to learn more about creating effective presentations? The process of creating a presentation goes far beyond putting information on a slide, throwing in a few images, and then delivering it to your audience. I've always found that unless a speaker has clarity on both the objective of their presentation, as well as the needs of the audience to whom they are presenting, they run the risk of making it a far less meaningful experience for the audience -- and for themselves (and by "less meaningful," I mean (boring, useless, or time-wasting). To avoid this scenario and maximize the chances of presenting the right message to the right audience -- and then getting a far more impactful response -- it helps to get clear on these 2 essential questions: 1. What is the objective of your presentation? (In other words, what essential message do you want your audience to walk away with?) 2. What are your audience's needs, wants and challenges, and how does your message fit into their lives in a beneficial way? (In other words: What does a day in their lives look like -- what are they struggling with or need to solve -- what do they want more (or less) of?). Getting clear on this information can help connect you to an audience on a much deeper level. It's certainly tempting to put a bunch of information on a slide and just 'get the presentation over with.' But what if you could take a step back and consider the value of your message...and then match it with the needs of your audience, so that you could create a meaningful message for them -- wouldn't that be a way better use of everyone's time? (Let's go with a resounding "YES!", shall we?) #PublicSpeaking #PresentationSkills #CommunicationSkills #Clarity #Confidence
