My own experience tells me that what Roger speaks and writes about in relation to SPORT, is happening in every other sector. His book, Sports Perfect Storm 🌊 is a must read for anyone interested in finance, business, and markets. The change In the cost and availability of funding, has changed the nature of the game for everyone. It's that cohort of people who figure this out the quickest, who will be the ones who make the right decisions and the most progress. Time is infinite, decisions in business need to be made, how to fund and finance projects has become alot more difficult. My sense is that given the very hands off approach to understanding all of this from so many in business, it will bring alot of pain. The plates are moving, the game has changed, and given the mountains of debt sitting everywhere, it really is a critical time for so many. Sports Perfect Storm - Business owners Perfect Storm 🙌

Why does this Sr. Rushmore's brilliant advertising touch my heart? Perhaps because it's based on a true story? Could it be because I love the sound of church bells? Or because it's the story of a little (great) victory that truly lives to the motto "nunca dejes de creer" (never stop believing)? When my soccer team, Atleti, decided, justified by marketing decisions, to modernize the team's crest, and changed it, the fans got furious. I, like the majority of the Atleti fans, was against modernizing our team's crest, something that Atleti’s execs decided without consulting the fans. There were plenty of marketing reasons for the update, modernization, new times, evolution, a new era. But they forgot the essence of a brand. They forgot about the values that it represent, they forgot about the heart. The changes were subtle, but noticeable enough to alter an image that represents our values. Changing our crest was like changing a country's flag. In a world where marketing values justify so many decisions, sometimes, we need to forget about those numbers, and just think with our hearts. El escudo no se toca. Atleti finally did the right thing and listened to the fans. Marketing can be wrong. How refreshing is that! Here's to all the fans who never stopped believing, that fought for what they thought it was right. Here's to our crest. The real, one, and only crest since 1947. Not all our team's victories are won on the field. This one was won in our hearts. And there's nothing wrong with making an advertising campaign for the club to say, in a creative way, "sorry".
