🌟 Last week, we proudly celebrated the grand opening of the newly transformed Chris Larsen Park! Sterling is excited to sponsor this outdoor space, perfect for enjoying the beauty of Sioux City. 🌳
Let me share with you an exhilarating piece of history! 🇺🇸 Two of our renowned presidents, Bush and Ford, once soared through the skies from none other than Glenview. 🛫 But that's just the beginning of an incredible story.
Fast forward to 1995, a pivotal year when a thousand acres at the Glenview Naval Air Station transformed into what we now know as "The Glen." It all began with a visionary move: Glenview sold this vast land to the village for just one dollar – talk about a fantastic deal! 💲
This was the catalyst for an extraordinary transformation. Glenview embarked on an ingenious plan. They teamed up with four major builders who constructed four vibrant subdivisions, each contributing to the vibrant tapestry of our community. But that's not all – a fifth builder stepped in to create the iconic Glen Town Center, a bustling hub that houses over 250 shops, restaurants, and services. 🏢🍔🛍️
The Glen Town Center isn't just for locals; it's a magnet that also draws people from neighboring suburbs. Why? Because it's an epicenter of culture, commerce, and camaraderie, offering boundless opportunities and experiences. 🌟
And let's remember the beautiful golf course, now known as The Glen Club, which adds charm to this incredible community. ⛳
Respect for history, excitement for the present, and boundless possibilities for the future – that's The Glen. 🙌✨#GlenviewHistory#PresidentialVisits#CommunityTransformation#VisionaryLeadership#GlenviewNavalAirStation#TheGlen#IncredibleDeal#VibrantSubdivisions#GlenTownCenter#RetailParadise#DiningDelights#NeighborlyLove#CulturalHub#TheGlenClub#BoundlessOpportunities

It’s funny when you realize that you’re old enough to legitimately start using the expression, “I never thought I’d see the day”.
If you’ve followed the amusement park/themed entertainment industry for any length of time, you can appreciate how appropriate the above expression is to the news of a Six Flags/Cedar Fair merger.
I can vividly remember the coaster wars of the early 2000s when Cedar Point and Magic Mountain served as the battlegrounds for corporate rivals fighting for the title of having the biggest, fastest, and tallest collection of roller coasters.
Twenty years later, a merger is the best strategic decision to attempt to ensure the survival of these two firms in an ever-changing amusement landscape.

Social media is a numbers game. How often is your business showing up? How frequently are people seeing your brand? What is the ENERGY that people feel when they consume your content?
If you’re not bringing in leads with social media, these are the questions to be asking.

This raw land features easy access and high visibility from Interstate 44. It is located in an opportunity zone and offers frontage off of Martin Luther King Avenue as well as NW 63rd Street, making it the gateway to the OKC Adventure District. According to a recent OKC planning study on the Adventure District, there are over 1.25 million visitor nights generated by the Adventure District annually. There appears to be strong demand for accommodation, and yet the current supply seems unable to meet it due to the lack of hotels within a 2-square-mile radius.

Selling a property is easy, anyone can do that but getting the maximum outcome is about the process- not stats or logic. They come from an unshakeable belief in the property, the area, yourself, and the process. That energy drives the greatest outcomes and creates life-changing experiences.
More life-changing moments to come:

Very interesting article on the influence of Black caddies on the game of golf by my Spatial Research & Design colleague Craig Gill. Definitely worth a read!
Dipped my toes back into my old historical work and wrote about the rich history of skilled Black caddies at this week's U.S. Open venue, Pinehurst, North Carolina.
