Addressing some feedback on how we operate here at Steyer Content... https://lnkd.in/gCYfnuH7
Without knowing more, my first thought is that the industry has put its thumb on writer wages, not Steyer. It could be that the feedback was somewhat displaced. My experience is that Steyer gets good rates for my talent compared to a lot of other offers. That said, I'm also a fan of the culture! I hope you help some folks see the value they don't see yet.
I loved this, Kate. It shows that you care enough to address feedback, no matter how difficult.😊💜
Are you talking AT or communicating WITH your audience?
4moWell, wouldn't you know it, Kate, I was going to look for your post to comment on your newsletter I just read, and here your post is top of my stream. First. Great subject line: "Ouch! But Okay Let's Talk." (I wonder if it'd score even higher [i.e. via SubjectLine.com] if you used sentence case. Just curious.) Second, the comment on about "vanity projects" is still valuable feedback. But in this case, it might be more valuable in terms of who's a good fit with your organization...and who's not. Constructive criticism does provide invaluable insights on how you might improve certain areas. But sometimes, the feedback you receive serves as more of a workforce-pulse check. After you do a full and honest gut check, reaffirm your business activities are aligned with your personal and professional values, you might just realize it's not a good match. I don't think I'm telling you anything you don't already know. Just supporting your mission to stay focused on the good, VALUE projects you're working on. If differentiating your business and talent support through value-based company culture is vanity...well, hell. And it's that VALUE that led to you retaining and growing the epic talents of Katelyn Hackett Reilly and Tony Batista!
