Ongoing advances in structural and geotechnical engineering and increasing expectations for fidelity and refinement of seismic analysis models have resulted in a computational bottleneck in the design and evaluation of critical infrastructure. The traditional Soil Structure Interaction (SSI) framework, System for Analysis of Soil Structure Interaction (SASSI), is a trusted analysis approach with decades of precedence. Our proprietary SSI analysis software, SC-SASSI, incorporates modern enhanced solution algorithms that drastically reduce analysis run-time.  In his article, Julio A. Garcia, P.E. demonstrates the practical benefits of SC-SASSI and High-Performance Computing, which result in improved accuracy, reduced uncertainty, and shorter computational times. At SI, we regularly combine advanced Non-Destructive Evaluation inspections with fitness-for-service evaluations to provide our clients with value-added solutions.
