How do choose a 3PL Partner? We had a webinar this week with some great customers that talked through the way in which they think about their 3PL partnerships. Customers included an emerging brand - OMORPHO, a brand at scale - NOBULL , and an aggregator - Heyday Some of the highlights -> Nick Parece talked about talked about the importance of working backward from the customer experience and aligning 3PL choices and SLAs around the end customer. For NOBULL data matters and so having a tech forward 3PL and a tech platform to match is key. Being open with your 3PL partner on your strengths and weaknesses is key to the partnership -> Robert Damico spoke about his experience at Nike and how it shapes what he's doing at OMORPHO. Communication and service should be at the core of the 3PL partnership. The realization first week into his job that a 3PL move was overdue led to a search which culminated in a partnership with ShipHero. Make sure your 3PL matches the profile of your product -> Navid Veiseh - the CFO of @heyday talked about the service and financial aspects of the relationship - drawing upon his many years experience at Amazon. His biggest takeaway - "focus on your supply chain end to end and not just on fulfillment." Having the best 3PL SLAs doesn't go far if you don't have things to ship to customers! He spoke about the importance of having the "right amount of tech" -> Federico dos Santos talked about the dreaded 3PL switch and when to do it - "when they are missing SLAs; or when there is a clear cost gap with your existing network, or when they are unable to scale to support your business" -> Joe Spisak did a great job talking about the best practices for navigating the plethora of choices with a 3PL move - they do 100s of 3PL searches and all our panelists wished that they could draw on his experience when they started their respective journeys Leading brands run Pipe17 Hear more here https://lnkd.in/gdkujqXk
