In recent weeks, I've embarked on a journey – one that I'm still navigating – from trauma to resilience. It's a path that has led me to question the privilege of working in a place like The Garage at Microsoft, when there are individuals on the front lines facing unimaginable challenges. While I recognize that we have served as a bridge and facilitator for many impactful projects, there were moments when I grappled with justifying what we do here, versus being out there. Returning to what some might call "normal programming" has been a challenge for me. However, today, something shifted during a session I attended with Michal Braverman-Blumenstyk our incredible Managing Director and a prominent government representative. Towards the end of the session, he said some words that struck a chord with me. He said, "The story of Israel, the story of our resurrection in the upcoming years, is rooted in reigniting the spirit of innovation and creativity. That is the heart and soul of our country and our future. The hi-tech sector brings these values to the table: the attitude of looking at challenges and saying: it is possible, we can solve this." As he spoke, it suddenly became crystal clear. The Garage embodies the very spirit he referred to. That attitude - that's what we do. Our core priorities at the Garage – delivering cultural value, innovation value, and ecosystem value – are in perfect alignment with this vision. Now, seeing this, it's easier for me to return to our regular programming because I see the profound importance of our role, not just within Microsoft, but for Israel and our region as a whole. It's this spirit that underpins our growth and resilience. I consider myself privileged to be in a position where I can contribute to this journey, and to be part of an organization that can make a difference. Six weeks ago, I made a small career update at Microsoft going from working on our franchise WXP apps to an exciting new product - Microsoft Loop! The team was preparing to 'graduate' Loop, learning from all our preview feedback and yesterday, we made the Loop app generally available for all Microsoft 365 work (AAD) customers across web and mobile. 🚀 After having spent most of my time working on meetings and document collaboration, I thought I had seen it all but these days I start and end my day in Loop. Loop is a purpose built answer to questions that customers have been asking us over the years - "Where do I go to manage all my work?", "How can I keep track of everything across documents and conversations?", "How can I collaborate quickly to get something done?" It's unlike any product you've used from Microsoft and it's built by a team that is passionate about solving real problems and bounded only by their vision. 🚀 Exciting News: A Milestone Achieved! 🚀   Dear Getboarded Community,   We're thrilled to share a major milestone in our journey - we've been approved for $100,000 in Microsoft infrastructure credits! This comes as we move to the last step of the Founders Hub and activate Go-to-Scale stage.   🌐💻 This incredible support from Microsoft is a testament to our team's dedication and the exciting journey we've been on throughout our start. The credits have been instrucmental in running and experimenting our AI models, our video servers and the compute services. We used Power BI, Microsoft Suite, Github enterprise and so much of the services to build tech solutions that we have today.   As we reflect on the past year, it's been a whirlwind of innovation, challenges, and growth. From launching groundbreaking projects to overcoming obstacles, each step has shaped our path to where we stand today. The support from the Microsoft team is not just a validation of our hard work but also a catalyst for what's to come. We won the new app award in Teams marketplace with VideoWiki. This also got us noticed by Webex who invited us for a similar app in their market.   In 2023, we envisioned Getboarded as a hub for community tooling for people development. And in 2024 we're collaborating with more minds, embracing new technologies, and fostering a culture of continuous learning. This Microsoft approval is not just a financial boost; it's a recognition of our commitment to pushing boundaries to test, try and build helping tech.   Our journey wouldn't be complete without expressing our gratitude to our incredible team, partners, and, of course, our fantastic community with ALTFuture.
