On the occasion of Thales's 40th anniversary in Korea, I had the pleasure of meeting our customers, partners, suppliers, and colleagues to celebrate this important milestone. Their enthusiasm reflects the significant commitment Thales has in Korea across the sectors of Aeronautics & Space, Defense & Security, and Cybersecurity & Digital Identity.
In addition to many fruitful engagements with our key customers and partners, this trip was made even more memorable as we reinforced our collaboration with LIG Nex1, to ensure that our equipment that is in use with the Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN) stays in top shape. We also signed an MoU with KISED (Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development) to work with the start-up ecosystem in Korea, to research and co-develop new technologies that help make the world safer, greener and more inclusive.
We could not have done this without the drive and dedication of our 65 dedicated employees in Korea. I was honoured to take part in this 40th anniversary celebration with Thales staff in Korea, held at the historic Korea Furniture Museum. Their energy and commitment are the driving forces behind our success in Korea. We look forward to continuing our journey and contributing to Korea's growth and innovation for many more years to come!
