Hashi Energy Initiates Liquidation, Offers Prime Assets Including Trucks for Sale Hashi Energy, a prominent petroleum company owned by tycoon Ahmed Hashi, is undergoing liquidation amidst financial turmoil. The company, facing a daunting KSh 5 billion debt, has begun the process by announcing the sale of over 30 trucks and multiple assets. Among the assets up for sale are 31 prime properties, including SinoTruk's SITRAK models distributed across Mombasa, Eldoret, and Nairobi. KVSK Sastry, the appointed liquidator for Hashi Energy, has invited bids from interested parties to acquire the company's assets scattered nationwide. Collaboration is key in unlocking the Distributed Renewables sector in Africa. Africa Minigrid Developers Association (AMDA) has been championing policy advocacy, data and intelligence sharing and private sector coordination across the continent mainstreaming mini grids as affordable low-carbon electrification solutions for hundreds of thousands of people. Building a larger more diverse coalition is additive. Botala Energy Ltd (ASX:BTE) non-executive director Peter Grant sits down with Proactive’s Jonathan Jackson to discuss several milestones passed during the March quarter including the receipt of environmental approval for the commercial development of its Serowe Coal Bed Methane (CBM) project, known as Project Pitse, in Botswana. This marks a significant step in transitioning the project from exploration to production, allowing for the construction of around 100 kilometres of pipeline linking the wellfield to the upcoming Leupane Energy Hub and Industrial Park near Palapye. The company has completed a coring program at the S3-4 well under Project Pitse and has initiated desorption testing of the cores to ascertain the #gas content of the #coalseams. The outcomes of these tests are crucial as they will help refine resource estimates and enhance the feasibility of the project. Bracewell represented Ecora Resources in relation to the acquisition of 0.85% gross revenue royalty over the Phalaborwa Rare Earths Project in South Africa. Ecora Resources will also acquire shares in Rainbow Rare Earths Ltd, the majority owner of the Phalaborwa Rare Earths Project, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange. Rare earth elements occur naturally, but rarely in concentrated forms that are commercial to extract. They are essential in the production of permanent magnets, which are key components in renewable wind power turbines and electric vehicle motors. Consequently, rare earth elements are critical to the energy transition.
