Please watch! The messages in this video are amazing because you don't have to serve to learn these messages and you don't have to serve to implement the lessons compiled in the video into your career and the corporate world. No matter where we are it's so important to learn the ends and outs of leadership and to apply what you know to grow your team. Remembering that everyone around you needs to be encouraged and no one should be left behind. Good leaders lead from the front but great leaders constantly check on those in the rear.
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸For those who saw my post before, last year for Veterans Day I wrote an article about some of the most important lessons I took away from my military service. This year, I thought we’d make it a bit more special by asking some of my fellow service members what they took away from their service… and here it is!! Thank you to everyone that helped out, and Trevor Melton for editing. Most importantly, thank you to all those serving and who have served! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 #veteransday #veteransday2023

On this #VeteransDay, we express our deep gratitude and appreciation to all the brave men and women who have served in the United States military. Your selflessness and courage do not go unnoticed. In honor of this special day, Greenphire's Joe Gough, MA had the privilege of interviewing Hawk Tran, the Chief Operating Officer of NAVREF. Our conversation focused on NAVREF's ongoing initiatives aimed at improving veterans' access and awareness to clinical trials and how Greenphire is contributing to these efforts. I wrote a white paper a few years ago about the value of hiring veterans, and the paper is as true today as it was the day it was published. Thank you to each and every one of our veterans for your service to our great country! If you're interested, you can read the article here: https://lnkd.in/eBvKNvF
For the fifth year in a row, our department has been recognized by the Texas Workforce Commission and the Texas Veterans Commission as a "We Hire Vets" employer. More than 32% of our officers are veterans, with four having served in the Army, two in the Navy, six in the Marine Corps, and one in the Air Force. Since World War II, the City of Lake Worth has had a strong partnership with the military and defense communities, and we're proud to continue the tradition of service within our police department through our veterans and department members. Here's to another five years! #WorthIt

#Reminder: 🧱 Brick orders run through Sunday, March 31. 🧱 🧱 Leave a lasting legacy to a family member or loved one that served in a branch of the United States Armed Forces with the Town of Jupiter’s Veterans Memorial Legacy Brick program. 🧱 The Town of Jupiter Veterans Memorial was opened in 2020 and is dedicated to remembering and honoring the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces, as well as those Gold Star families who have had a loved one make the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. How the Legacy Brick Program will work: 🧱 Each brick will have two options: 1. A message with no branch insignia: these bricks will include four (4) lines of text, with a maximum of 21 characters per line. 2. A message containing a branch insignia: these bricks will include an insignia of the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard as well as four (4) lines of text with 15 characters per line. • All bricks will be a red charcoal color to match the current bricks found at the Veterans Memorial. • Each brick will cost $100, which will include the production of the brick as well as its installation. • Space is limited and bricks will be placed on a first-come, first-served basis. If the space sells out, the Town will explore additional areas after the completion of the construction of the new Town Hall building. 🚫 No political statements will be allowed as a part of this memorial program. The Town of Jupiter reserves the right to refuse any message or the placement of a brick. 🔗 For more information and to order a brick, visit https://lnkd.in/eJ38esAt. If you have any questions about the program, email CommunityRelations@jupiter.fl.us.

On Veterans Day, we honor the brave women and men who have served our nation. This day holds special meaning for us, as we have veterans among our colleagues, and their dedication inspires us daily. We also want to recognize the challenges veterans face when transitioning to civilian life. Nearly 200,000 service members do this every year, and it's a journey that demands our support and understanding. To shed light on this crucial topic, we invite you to watch the Ted Talk below, "How to Successfully Transition from Military to Civilian Life." It offers valuable insights into regaining identity, purpose, and a sense of belonging as a veteran. https://lnkd.in/gWiaCkG #VeteransDay #gratitude #civilianlife

The results were not good. I mentioned how my efforts to have Manhattan declared a hazmat area, requiring PPE for all first responders and workers, was ignored and how there is no memorial for the 10,000 who died from cancer associated with the 911 hazardous materials exposures. For over 40 years, Gary Sinise has been a tireless advocate for our nation's veterans and active-duty military. In response to the tragic events of September 11, 2001, Gary volunteered to travel overseas to give thanks in person to the brave men and women who served our country. His first handshake tour took place in 2003, and he hasn't stopped since. This #ThrowbackThursday, we look back across two decades worth of handshakes, hugs, and heartfelt thanks given to those who have sacrificed so much.
