The two days training was center on capacity building of CSO,s on Advocacy and effective communication tools for civil society organizations in Montserrado County ,the main aim of this training is to build and strengthen the capacity of CSO,s and Community youths led organization. The training was funded by GFF and implemented by National coalition of civil society organizations (NACCSOL). Together we can do better "

There are an estimated 50 million people trapped in modern-day slavery today. This number has increased by 25% since 2016 due to conflict, COVID-19, and the climate crisis. Learn about the Myths and Realities of Human Trafficking and how you can take a courageous step to end exploitation during an interactive conversation and panel discussion with members of the Global Anti-Trafficking Alliance Birmingham (GAAB). GAAB unites Birmingham based anti-trafficking leaders to collaborate, raise awareness, and empower advocacy for local and global anti-trafficking efforts. Today is the international day of #HumanRights and I take this opportunity to present our Annual Report for 2022, a testament to resilience, progress, and unwavering commitment to build a world where every child has a safe and enjoyable childhood. This year, thanks to our dedicated teams, great supporters, partners and donors, we supported over 8.2 million children & young people as well as their families, across 68 countries. Our programmes and advocacy particularly focused on preventing and protecting children against all forms of violence and exploitation, advancing their right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment, and enhancing their participation in decisions and policies affecting them.   Yet, on this occasion, we also want to highlight the urgent need to recognise and address the unprecedented challenges that children are facing today. If you were at the Bonnyville Friendship Centre's MMEIP & Stolen Children Vigil on October 4th, 2023, you heard me introduce a new project we are spearheading! The Intergenerational GBV Engagement project will have three main components. Identify, Heal and Change. This project will identify Gender-Based Violence in each respective community by eliminating barriers for participation. Our goal, is to work alongside each respective communities Health Directors as well as Chief and Council to provide support as needed, to engage participants within each community to come and share their experiences. By identifying Gender-based violence in communities and hearing individuals' experiences, we can outline a plan of action to provide services for any gaps in programming and policy. By using cultural healing practices, we will provide barrier-free Sharing Circles, Community Feasts, Pipe Ceremonies and Missing, Murdered or Exploited Peoples Vigils, like we are today. To raise awareness, speak our truth and say the names of those we have lost, to gender-based violence. Together, we will make lasting changes to Gender-Based Violence policy in our communities. We will create trauma informed resources, supports and bridge the gap between Indigenous and Non-Indigenous peoples, agencies, first responders and communities to end Gender-Based Violence. Whether you like it or not, 2024 is a presidential election year! Faith-based nonprofits and their employees, directors, officers, and volunteers often care deeply about political affairs. And for good reason. The political candidates we elect and the laws our governments enact seriously impact religious liberty, the work of faith-based nonprofits, and many issues central to preserving our civic life. But there is a well-known tension: faith-based nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status are limited in their ability to advocate for political issues and candidates.
