The answer to yesterday’s #ClinicalChallenge questions is: True. In a recent study of 419 patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage, 12 percent developed epilepsy over a median follow up of four years. Risk factors included premorbid functional impairment, cerebral ischemia related to the hemorrhage, surgical treatment of the aneurysm, and early seizures.
