It’s a life-saving device that delivers an electric shock to the heart, helping to restore a normal rhythm during a cardiac emergency. There are various types of defibrillators, including AEDs commonly found in public places, and advanced units used in hospitals. Understanding how these devices work can be crucial during emergencies. At Voyce, our mission is to help patients from all linguistic backgrounds understand their care.
