#TuesdayTip: DYK? The State of Texas does not require a general license. The certificate of registration through the Texas Secretary of State or county clerk’s office satisfies as the “general business license” that exists in other states. The Boerne Kendall County Economic Development Corporation would like to share a spotlight on some of our smaller projects. Today, we spotlight 28 Songs Brewhouse & Kitchen. The EDC team worked with owner, Don Kretz, from the very beginning when he just had a concept and a PowerPoint presentation. We assisted him in finding him a great location where his business is currently operating at 110 Market Ave., off North Main St. The EDC was excited to work with Don and bring another great small business to Boerne.

Congrats to Mount Pleasant's own on this new partnership.
"This partnership demonstrates American innovation at its finest.” - Rocky Christenberry Priefert is a proudly #American company. For 60 years, we’ve been able to support hundreds of good-paying American #jobs by producing the best equipment for American farmers and ranchers, American #manufacturing, and the American #solar industry. High-end #steel equipment allows countless ranchers and factories to produce products that power the American economy. So, it stands to reason that when companies want to use steel to solve some of the thorniest issues challenging entire industries, they would turn to Priefert. Among the best examples is Origami Solar, with whom we just formed a https://lnkd.in/e8p-79Gr partnership to manufacture patented steel solar module frames for the American solar industry, using American steel, in America. These frames, which Origami expertly engineered to leverage high-strength steel’s unique durability, will solve countless problems for the American solar industry. Most importantly, they will all but eliminate the enormous risk that comes with relying on imported aluminum solar module frames, which have been industry-standard for decades. The frames mostly come from China. They’re subject to tariffs and delays from customs investigations. They take a minimum of forty days to reach the U.S., and that can get much worse if there are backups at major ports or canals. Worst of all, producing them in the U.S. isn’t realistic; the U.S. has limited aluminum extrusion capacity, and the aluminum it does produce is prohibitively expensive. Origami’s steel solar module frames virtually eradicate those risks. They’ll be coming from places like Priefert’s Benton, Arkansas facility, where we can reach any solar module manufacturing facility in the U.S. in a day or two. Further, The American steel industry can easily produce enough high-strength steel to fabricate every steel solar frame America will ever need. For a proudly American company like Priefert, however, the greatest benefit is that Origami’s steel solar module frames will help us keep American steelworkers doing what they do best. This partnership is enabling us to keep our Benton, Arkansas facility open and operating. That means our current skilled workers get to keep doing what they love, and we could expand to up to an additional 70 skilled workers over the next three years. For 60 years, we’ve witnessed America innovate and work its way through some of the most complex challenges. Our partnership with Origami is another great example.
