Darshan's men arrested for kidnap; Renuka Swamy suffered 15 injuries on chest, abdomen and other parts, says autopsy

Renuka Swamy, who was allegedly tortured and beaten to death by popular Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and his aides, died of hemorrhage and shock, the postmortem report has revealed. A total of 15 wounds were identified on the victim's body during the autopsy, news reports said.

Renuka Swamy had suffered injuries on his chest, head and abdomen among other body parts, the autopsy reportedly found. His head was likely to be struck firmly on the mini truck found at the shed where he was allegedly tortured and killed by the accused, the report said. The investigation team has already seized the vehicle in question. 

Meanwhile, the cops are said to have found the items that were used to hurt Swamy. It included wooden logs, belt and ropes. 

Meanwhile, two more persons were arrested on Friday in connection with the murder that shocked Karnataka. The two men, identified as Jagadish and Anukumar, were involved in kidnapping the man to the crime spot. The duo were taken into custody from the district headquarters town of Chitradurga, reported news agency PTI. 

It was on Tuesday that Darshan and a dozen of his men were arrested on Tuesday for the murder of the 33-year-old Renukaswamy, a fan of the actor.

Renukaswamy, a resident of Chitradurga, allegedly commented on the social media account of Gowda, a small-time actress, accusing her of creating a rift between the actor and his wife. He also allegedly used "indecent language" and posted offensive messages, according to police sources.

Police on Thursday arrested three people, including a close aide of Darshan, in connection with the case. They had also recovered CCTV footage purportedly showing the suspected abduction of the victim in a car.
